Value Chain Resilience GmbH 

Otto serves corporations, to minimize overall cost of risk in the value chain and to strengthen organizational resilience. Otto has developed and implemented in the corporate insurance context the segmented business interruption standard on how to assess in a targeted approach risks and associated interruptions along the value chain for the different industries. It was this collaboration with corporate customers, where he saw the need to better manage Resilience along the Value Chain. 

Otto began his career as a consulting engineer modelling air quality. He authored several specialist publications especially on supply chains and characteristics of their interruption. He is a regular university lecturer on Risk Management and Resilience at several universities, including ETH Switzerland. 

Educational background

Otto holds a PhD in physics of dynamic systems of the University Basel (Prof. Harry Thomas) as well as an Executive MBA of University of
St. Gallen (HSG).
